Prohibited and Limited Support Devices
T38 and Fax use of ATA's is a Best Effort use
We do not recommend or support T38 fully as many carriers and networks may not also support T38 in the communication path. However with Grandstream ATA's (Grandstream HT Series ATA's) you may want to follow the recommended best efforts settings.
Support for T38 and Fax over ATA protocol is billable.
Specific devices are either prohibited or not supported on the hosted phone platform due to various factors. The list below is provided solely as an example and should not be considered a comprehensive list of devices.
Prohibited Devices
The following devices may not be used with your hosted phone system for the safety and security of the person(s) requiring the devices. You will be responsible for any liability arising from the installation of these devices.
- Health and Safety devices
- Medical monitoring devices
- Fire Alarms
- Elevators
- Emergency response monitoring
- Burglar alarms
- Fax Machines
Limited Support Devices
The following devices will be supported on a best-effort basis only.
- Credit card terminals
- Postage machines
