Prerequisites:

Prerequisites:

  • Access to the portal with Office Manager or greater permissions.
  • Reseller or greater permissions to bulk import devices.

You can leverage the platform's template functionality to customize and copy one-touch button layouts in the Button Builder for multiple phones. First, create a template based on the desired button layout for a single phone. Then, apply this template to multiple devices, either individually or as a bulk action.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Access the ButtonBuilder:
  • Navigate to the Inventory page within the portal.
  • Locate the Phone Hardware tab, click the Button Builder button, or click the dropdown to manage configuration templates or device profiles.

Create a Template based on a specific device:

To access the Button Builder, click the "Button Builder" button or the gear icon next to a particular device.

  • Click on "Save as new template".
  • Enter a unique name for the template and select the phone model. Avoid special characters when naming the template to prevent sync issues.
  • Configure the one-touch buttons as desired. You can add features like Line Appearances, Shared Line Appearances, Users (BLF), Call Park, or Speed Dial.
  • Add custom labels to the buttons for easier identification.
  • Click "Save and Resync" to save and apply the template to the phone.

Apply the Template to Multiple Phones:

  • Individual Application: Access the Button Builder for each phone you want to modify. Select the template you created and apply it.
  • You can bulk import devices via a CSV when you click Import in the Inventory Phone Hardware Import.
  • Click the "Download Template" button, update the template, browse for your CSV file, and choose Upload. You will be allowed to change/confirm the information before selecting Import.

  • Ensure that the MAC address populates correctly before selecting.
Resync Devices:
  • After applying a template, the phone must resync with the configuration.
  • The system will attempt to resync automatically, but if the phone is in an active call, it may take some time. You may need to manually resync if the process is not completed within a reasonable timeframe.
