UC Connect Premium Video - Portal Setup

Prerequisites

  • Reseller or Super User access to the portal.
  • Not all features are available on every plan please review the table below to understand what the user has access to based on the plan they have chosen. Plan descriptions are subject to change as we finalize the pricing.
 

New UC Connect Premium Video domain users will inherit the domain's default UC Connect Premium Video options (such as basic or pro). If individual users require a setup different from the default, this can be changed on a per-user basis in their profile (navigate to the Portal > select a domain > Users Page > user's profile). 

Add a Plan before setting the Default Plan

Please note that you must add Plans (click the grey field next to "Plans") before setting the Default Plan dropdown. If no Plan is added, the Default Plan dropdown will not work.

  1. As a Reseller or Super User, navigate to the Portal > Select a Domain > "Edit Domain" > Click on the "Premium Video" tab.
  2. Fill out the resulting form. The fields are explained below.

Enable UC Connect Premium Video toggle the button to yes to turn it on
 
URL The URL is used for the UC Connect Premium Video dashboard and meetings. This URL will be typed / copied into the address bar of your web browser. Make sure to use a unique name.
Name

This is the customizable name of your UC Connect Premium Video service. This name is used when sending email meeting invites and as the title of meetings. Make sure to use a name that is related to your domain and/or the name used in your URL..

 

Here is an example of a reseller setup:

  • Name of Reseller: Test IT Services
  • UC Connect Premium Video URL: test.connect.iplogin.ca
  • UC Connect Premium Video Name: UC Connect Premium Video
Plans Feature plans are configured in the UC Connect Premium Video admin panel. A Plan must be added here before you can complete the Default Plan field.
Default Plan When new users are created, this is the plan they are assigned.  The Plan field must be completed before adding a value here.
 
Add-Ons Feature add-ons are configured in the UC Connect Premium Video admin panel. These add-ons come with an extra monthly cost per user. Add-Ons, such as Webinar, are typically assigned sparingly.

You can enable Users individually in the UC Connect Premium Video tab within their Profile, or use the Bulk Edit tool as described below.

  1. In the Portal, navigate to the domain you've enabled for Premium Video.
  2. Go to the Users Page.
  3. After selecting the users you wish to enable, click the Bulk Edit button.
  1. Scroll down and click the checkbox next to the UC Connect Premium Video Plan field.
  2. Select the plan you wish those users to have.
  3. Click Save.

To suspend a Premium Video account, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Portal as a Reseller or Super User.
  2. Navigate to the Portal > Select a Domain > "Edit Domain" > Click on the "Premium Video" tab.
  3. Toggle the Enable Premium Video radio dial to "No".
  4. The account is now suspended. Users will not have access to the UC Connect Premium Video Application. If the tool is re-enabled, UC Connect Premium Video configurations will be restored.
