Register an Opportunity in the Partner Tool

Prerequisites

You must have access to the partner portal and the Partner Tools Portal. Please get in touch with the partner team to request access. When logged in to the partner portal, you can immediately see if you have access, as you will see the Partner Tools Menu Icon.

 

Opportunities 

An Opportunity happens when a contact has been given some form of proposal for a product or service, but has yet to become a closed deal. Opportunities represent significant benefits.

  • Give greater insight into the success of sales efforts.
  • Improve accountability with frequent check-ins and conversations around Opportunities.
  • Improve strategy by reviewing the outcomes of conversations and what messages resonated with leads and prospects.

Creating an Opportunity

To create an opportunity, select Opportunity on the dashboard and click the Create Records button.

 

The Create an Opportunity Page loads.  Fill in the fields and click on the Submit Button.

The first field allows you to create an opportunity on behalf of another user.

The Industry Type/Market dropdown provides a list of industry groups.

Once you have created the opportunity, you can view, update, or delete it by selecting the sales tab and directly selecting the opportunity you created. Clicking on the ellipsis displays the options of copying or deleting the opportunity. Clicking on the opportunity opens the Create Opportunity Screen.

The opportunity has two tabs containing its content. The Opportunity Info tab lets you update the opportunity details and record the opportunity stage. The Opportunity can be updated to Inactive, Closed Won, or Closed Lost. It starts in the Live stage.

The Additional Info tab contains the rest of the fields, and a More button enables you to act on the opportunity. Update the opportunity and click Save. Use the X icon to close the opportunity.
