Problem

If you use Microsoft's Calling Plan license, remove it before adding a Direct Route to your PBX. Microsoft has a trial license that includes the Calling Plan, so it is a common way for Enterprises to test out the service first.

If this license is present, you will receive an error message that says, "Cannot modify the parameter: "OnPremLineURI" because it is restricted for the user service plan: MCOProfessional, MCOMEETADD, MCOEV, MCOPSTN1."

Here is a step-by-step process to ensure that it is disabled.

Solution

  1. Ensure that you have assigned a User and Add On License to each group and that any Users who will have the Microsoft Teams Phone Connector activated. Navigate to Users>Active users>(future ConnecttoTeams Connector User)
  2. After selecting the User Navigate to Licenses and Apps
  3. Select App, then the Dropdown Menu will appear
  4. Ensure that the Calling Plan is unselected
  5. Save changes when ready

Once the Microsoft Admin confirms those licensing changes have occurred for the User, you can link Teams to the PBX using the Microsoft Teams Phone Connector.
