When managing ATA devices through the portal, users may notice that these devices do not appear in the Inventory section. Below, we provide an overview of why this occurs and solutions to locate such devices.

Overview of Device Registration Methods
ATA devices can be registered in two primary ways:
Manual Registration: This method involves configuring the device directly with SIP credentials, including the username, password, and proxy settings. It bypasses the portal's automated inventory system.
Portal Registration: Devices configured through the UnitedCloud portal are automatically added to the Inventory section and tracked there.
Devices registered manually will not appear in the Inventory section, regardless of their online or registration status. Instead, their details can be viewed elsewhere in the portal.
Device Visibility in Inventory vs. User > Phone
Offline or Power Issues: If a device is offline or experiencing a power issue, it should still remain visible in the Inventory section as long as it was registered through the portal. This suggests the device was manually registered if it is not visible.
Manually Registered Devices: These devices will not populate in the Inventory section but can be found by navigating to the specific user’s account. Follow this path to locate them: User > Phone. This section shows the device's credentials and registration details.
Troubleshooting Device Visibility Issues
Determine the Registration Method: Confirm whether the device was set up manually or through the portal.
Check User > Phones: Go to the associated user account and view the Phone section for manually registered devices.
