UC AI Voice Assist - Embeds Guide

Prerequisites

  • UC AI Voice Assist must be enabled for your domain per your. Additional fees may apply.
  • A user with Reseller scope or higher is required to manage and configure UC AI Voice Assist.
  • Once enabled, the UC AI Voice Assit icon will appear in the main toolbar in the portal.
 

 

Web Embed

Your UC AI Assist agent can be embedded into your website as a Chat Agent. This functionality is located in the Embeds Tab when you are editing the Agent. Each embed option provides a live preview, the ability to customize the colours to match your website, embed code to paste directly into your website's HTML and a direct URL. 

There are three embed options:

Inline Bar: A compact bar widget that can be embedded anywhere on your page.

The Web Embed integration lets you embed your UC AI Voice Assist agent on any website so visitors can interact with it in their browser. Choose from three embed styles, customize the appearance to match your brand, and copy a single HTML snippet to add the agent to your site.

 

ℹ️  Embed functionality must be enabled at the account level. If you do not see the Embed option in your agent settings, check that Embed Functionality is toggled on under Account Settings > General.

 

Embed Styles

UC AI Voice Assist offers three embed formats to suit different website placements and use cases:

 

Embed Style Description and Best Use
Inline Bar A compact 320 x 64 pixel bar that embeds anywhere on the page. Ideal for adding a persistent call-to-action without taking up significant screen space -- well suited for headers, footers, or sidebars
Playground A full interactive interface that lets visitors test and explore your agent in a larger format. Best suited for demo pages, product pages, or dedicated support sections where engagement is the priority
Popup Widget A floating widget that appears in the corner of the page. Visitors click to open it and start a conversation without navigating away from their current page. The most common choice for customer-facing websites

 

Customizing the Appearance

Each embed style includes appearance settings so the widget blends naturally with your site design:

  • Theme: Select a base theme from the dropdown (light or dark)
  • Background Colour: Set the widget's background colour to match your site
  • Primary Colour: Set the primary accent colour for buttons and interactive elements
  • Accent Colour: Set a secondary accent colour for highlights and supporting elements

A live preview updates in real time as you adjust appearance settings.

 

How to Add the Embed to Your Website

Open Agent Embed Settings

In the portal select the UC AI Voice Assist tab, edit the agent by clicking the pencil icon. Navigate to Basic Settings > Embed.

Select Your Embed Style

Choose Inline Bar, Playground, or Popup Widget depending on where and how you want the agent to appear.

Customise Appearance

Adjust the theme, background colour, primary colour, and accent colour using the appearance settings. Preview updates in real time.

Copy the Embed Code

Click Copy Code to copy the HTML snippet to your clipboard.

Paste Into Your Website

Paste the snippet into your website's HTML where you want the widget to appear. The embed code loads asynchronously and will not affect your page speed.
