How to turn on Background App Refresh on your Android Device

  1. From the start screen, pull down the notification bar for Settings.
  2. Tap the gear symbol in the top right-hand corner.
  3. In Settings, tap Connectionsand then tap Data Usage.
  4. From the Mobile section, tap Mobile Data Usage.
  5. Select Softphone app from below the usage graph.
  6. Tap Allow background data usage to turn on.
  7. Tap Allow data usage while data saver is onto turn on.
 

Enable Notifications

  1. Open your phone's Settings app.
  2. Tap Apps & notifications or Notifications. (Depends on the version of Android).
  3. Under Recently sent, find apps that you want notifications from
    • To find more apps, tap See all or More.
    • Select Softphone from the list.
    • You can turn on all notifications for the app. 

Tip: If you don't see "Recently sent," you're using an older Android version. Instead, tap App notifications and tap an app.
You can turn notifications, notification dots, and notification categories on or off. If an app has categories, you can tap a category for more options.

5. Tap the switch next to them to disable the overlay permission.
